PDO threads are an increasingly popular, cutting edge procedure that allow lifting and tightening effects, without the need of surgical procedures. Throughout this course, our expert team will be on hand to guide you through every aspect of your training, so upon completion you will be confident to offer this procedure to your clients. The course consists of theory modules that take place in an online pre reading format, and a practical session as an opportunity for you to develop your skills on models. Both of these areas of the course ensure you have the skillset and confidence to administer PDO threads. The course will teach the following areas:

One of the more recent treatments to be offered by aesthetic practitioners, PDO threads offer unique results to any other treatment currently on offer. Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are extremely thin, medical grade threads that are made of protein. They are inserted into the face and body, via a cannula, to provide a lifting and tightening effect. This effect is achieved as PDO relaxes muscles and tendons whilst also provoking a foreign body reaction, which improves blood flow at the treatment site. As a result of this, there is the effect of new collagen being made in the skin, creating a youthful appearance. Treatment areas include, but are not limited to, the cheeks, brow, jawline, neck, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, arms, thighs and abdomen. 

 

The course consists of two parts: online pre reading and an onsite practical training session. The online pre reading will teach you essential information that will ensure you excel in your practical session. The practical session is part of a full day of onsite learning. During this, you will have the opportunity to administer PDO threads to a model. This will enhance your skills and allow your confidence to grow. Upon completion of the course, you will be fully qualified and confident to provide PDO threads to your clients.
